Patient-focused care, strong relationships, and lasting impact.
Meet Leslie Hale MD
Dr. Hale is a triple board-certified physician with a uniquely comprehensive background that bridges high-acuity hospital medicine and integrative, patient-centered care.
She graduated with honors from the University of Southern California, earning her Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Studies. She then completed her graduate nursing education at Case Western Reserve University and worked as an RN in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at The Cleveland Clinic. While there, she developed a deep foundation and passion for managing complex, critically ill patients.
Dr. Hale earned her medical degree (MD) in 2010 from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She graduated with highest distinction and induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed anesthesiology residency and critical care fellowship training at Stanford University, along with an additional fellowship year training in patient safety and quality improvement, further strengthening her systems-based and safety-focused approach to medicine.
Through more than a decade of practicing as an anesthesiologist and critical care physician, Dr. Hale has cared for patients in their most vulnerable states and at the most advanced stages of disease. This experience profoundly shaped her perspective and led her back to her roots in prevention and whole-person health.
In 2021, she went on to earn a board-certification in obesity medicine and has completed an advanced training course in medical acupuncture through the prestigious Helms Medical Institute.
Her current practice focuses on integrative and regenerative approaches that aim to restore function, reduce pain, and address the underlying drivers of disease.
Dr. Hale has particular expertise in:
Chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions, acute pain and post operative recovery, scar release and lymphatic movement
Nervous system regulation and mental health, including trauma processing, PTSD, anxiety, and depression
Women’s health, including fertility and perimenopause, menopause, and pelvic pain issues.
Complex chronic conditions such as long- COVID, autonomic dysfunction, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, endocrine and rheumatological disorders
Palliative and End of Life Care
She is especially passionate about caring for patients who feel underserved by conventional medicine, offering thoughtful, individualized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based medicine with therapies that support the body’s innate healing capacity.
Known for her precision, depth of knowledge, and compassionate approach, Dr. Hale partners closely with her patients to help them regain function, resilience, and quality of life.
Dr. Hale enjoys life in North County with her husband, who is an orthopedic surgeon, along with her 2 sons and her 2 dogs.
